Dill refrigerator pickles
(I know it's not a dip, bit you can dip a pickle, so....)
1 1/2 cups vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
4 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp mustard seeds
3/4 tsp dill seed
2 cups hot water
1/4 cup fresh or dried dill
4 cloves garlic.
(you can also use pickling spice from the store)
red pepper flake to taste
boil all the above ingredients for 1 min
let brine cool to room temp
add
Optional - thin sliced onion
2 pounds sliced cucumbers
Place in a zip loc bag or container.
Make sure all the cucumbers and onions are covered in brine.
Leave in the fridge for 24 to 48 hours.
Eat and enjoy.
