Apple Tart for One (also pop tart)

peel and slice thin - one green apple

1 tsp butter
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
pinch salt

30 seconds in the micro

1 tsp lemon zest
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 tsp brown sugar

micro another 30 seconds

roll out 4 x 6 puff pastry into 2 halves

use egg wash on edges of dough where the two halves will connect

fill and fold over (like a pop tart or hot pocket)

use a fork to crimp the edges and seal your tart

brush top of tart with rest of egg wash

bake at 425 for about 15 min - until nice and brown

let cool before you eat (it's lava hot)

use the same basic technique with the puff pastry to make a homemade pop tart. you can fill with jam, smores stuff, brown sugar and cinnamon or anything you can think of.
